Abstract

|
Aneurysm formation and rupture of the anterior mitral leaflet is a rare complication of infectious aortic valve endocarditis.
Prompt diagnosis and early surgical treatment can prevent complications such as embolization and cardiogenic shock. It
is also related to the acute and severe mitral regurgitation. We describe a case of aneurysm of the anterior mitral leaflet
secondary to bicuspid aortic valve endocarditis.
